Every session includes a sneak peek within 48 hours and your finished gallery in two to three weeks. Deposits are about half of your order total and come off it. Travel outside Worcester is priced by mileage. You get the exact quote before your deposit.

Medium format film +$160

One roll of medium format film, your choice of black and white or color. Expect 4 to 6 finished photographs from about 15 minutes of extra film time. I develop and scan them alongside your digital set.

The whole session on film

Film Session

A dedicated medium format sitting. I price it by session length and finished image count. The slow and deliberate way. I develop and scan it as one cohesive set.

Added to the session price. The film set replaces the digital set.

A straight deal on film. You keep the untouched original of every frame, plus my edits. I keep the negatives. And if a roll does not come back right, you are covered. If fewer than a quarter of the frames are usable, you get a full refund or a free reshoot. Your call. I refund a partial loss in proportion to what was affected.

Matte or glossy on premium paper. Your choice. Every print includes a protective finish at no extra cost. I apply it by hand to resist fading from light. It also guards the print against sun and moisture, and against handling.

Reserve your date

Begin a session

Requesting your date is free and nothing is charged today. I confirm the date is open and then send you a link for your deposit. The deposit is about half of your order total. Travel outside Worcester is priced by mileage. I quote it exactly before your deposit. You pay it with the final payment, not with the deposit.

Deposit and refund details

Deposits are applied to your total and refundable up to seven days before your session; inside that week, or a booking made within a week of the date, the deposit is not refundable for a client cancellation, while weather and photographer cancellations are always refunded. Inside the final week, message me before canceling. If you cancel inside the week I keep the deposit, but I will always try to move your date first. Sessions are delivered as digital files; any sales tax that applies to prints is shown at checkout. Image use is by your choice, signed online from your client area any time before your gallery opens, or in person on the day of your session.

Photo release and sharing

Your photos are yours to keep and print. Share them with family and friends. Whether I may share them is your choice. Sign it online from your client area any time before your gallery opens or in person on the day of your session. Every adult being photographed signs for themselves, and a parent or guardian decides for anyone under eighteen. The full photo release and terms are in the agreement.

Your date is now reserved. After the session, your sneak peek of a few favorites arrives within 48 hours. That is when I collect the remaining balance, including any travel. Full editing and gallery delivery continue once it is paid.

Technical photography

Archival capture and artwork reproduction

High resolution photography with accurate color for anyone who needs clean files instead of portrait direction. It suits artists and archives. It also suits collections and small studios. Contact for price.

For collections and documents and objects. For handmade work and condition records and estate inventories. And for anything that needs a careful visual record. The goal is legibility and repeatability. The files should be useful for print and cataloging. They should also work for insurance, publication or lasting reference.

Art scanning

Digital reproductions for artists

I photograph artwork flat and square with controlled light. Then I prepare it for print proofs and web portfolios and grants. Or for submissions and edition records and reproduction prints. For artists who need physical proofing, I can coordinate with my local print shop for artist proofs and certificates of authenticity.

Capture setup

61MP files, portable controlled light

The core kit is a Sony A7R V with a full frame sensor of about 61MP and portable CRI 97 lighting. I bring a portable photo booth for smaller objects. It is built for clean and controlled and repeatable image capture on location when bringing the work to a studio is awkward.

Flat art and archival work lives in the practical details. Even light and square geometry. Sharp focus on a stable support. Neutral processing and file names that keep the archive easy to use later.

Pixel Shift

Stacking for static subjects

The A7R V can shoot Pixel Shift sequences that are later composited on a computer. The 4-image mode keeps roughly the native 60MP output while improving color sampling; the 16-image mode can produce an approximately 240.8MP composite. It is most useful for very still subjects like paintings and drawings. Textiles and documents work well too. So do objects and other archival material where extra surface detail and color fidelity matter.

Because movement can create blur or compositing errors, this technique calls for a tripod and a still subject. It is not a general portrait mode.

Tags and proofs for your files

I can help with practical archive structure after the photographs are made. Naming conventions and contact sheets and proof exports. Semantic analysis and automated tagging. Searchable descriptions for collections you need to browse by subject or medium, or by condition or visual features.
