One roll of medium format film, your choice of black and white or color. Expect 4 to 6 finished photographs from about 15 minutes of extra film time, developed and scanned alongside your digital set.

The whole session, on film

Film Session

A dedicated medium format sitting, priced by session length and finished image count. The slow and deliberate way, developed and scanned as one cohesive set.

Added to the session price. The film set replaces the digital set.

A straight deal on film. You keep the untouched original of every frame, plus my edits. I keep the negatives. And if a roll does not come back right, you are covered: fewer than a quarter of the frames usable is a full refund or a free reshoot, your call, and a partial loss is refunded in proportion to what was affected.

Printed by hand on premium paper, checked sheet by sheet, with no chain lab in the loop.

Requesting your date is free and nothing is charged today. I confirm availability, then send a secure link for your deposit, about half of your order total. Travel outside Worcester is priced by mileage, quoted exactly before your deposit and collected with the final payment, not the deposit.

Deposit and refund details

Deposits are applied to your total and refundable up to seven days before your session; inside that week, or a booking made within a week of the date, the deposit is not refundable for a client cancellation, while weather and photographer cancellations are always refunded. Inside the final week, message me before canceling. A cancellation inside the week keeps the deposit, but I will always try to move your date first. Sessions are delivered as digital files; any sales tax that applies to prints is shown at checkout. Image use is by your choice, signed online from your client area any time before your gallery opens, or in person on the day of your session.

What is the occasion

Photo release and sharing

Your photos are yours to keep, print, and share with family and friends. Whether I may share them is your choice, signed online from your client area any time before your gallery opens, or in person on the day of your session. Every adult being photographed signs for themselves, and a parent or guardian decides for anyone under eighteen. The full photo release and terms are in the agreement.

Discounts come off your final payment, not the deposit.

Archival capture and artwork reproduction

High resolution photography with careful color for artists, archives, collections, and small studios that need clean files instead of portrait direction. Contact for price.

Records that can be used later

For collections, documents, objects, handmade work, condition records, estate inventories, and anything that needs a careful visual record. The goal is legibility, repeatability, and files that are useful for print, cataloging, insurance, publication, or lasting reference.

Art scanning

Digital reproductions for artists

Artwork can be photographed flat and square with controlled light, then prepared for print proofs, web portfolios, grants, submissions, edition records, or reproduction prints. For artists who need physical proofing, I can coordinate with my local print shop for artist proofs and certificates of authenticity.

Capture setup

61MP files, portable controlled light

The core kit is a Sony A7R V with an approximately 61MP full frame sensor, portable CRI 97 lighting, and a portable photo booth for smaller objects. It is built for clean, controlled, repeatable image capture on location when bringing the work to a studio is awkward.

For flat art and archival work, the practical details matter: even illumination, squared geometry, careful focus, stable support, neutral processing, and file naming that makes the archive easy to use later.

Pixel Shift

Stacking for static subjects

The A7R V can shoot Pixel Shift sequences that are later composited on a computer. The 4-image mode keeps roughly the native 60MP output while improving color sampling; the 16-image mode can produce an approximately 240.8MP composite. It is most useful for very still subjects: paintings, drawings, textiles, documents, objects, and other archival material where extra surface detail and color fidelity matter.

Because movement can create blur or compositing errors, this technique calls for a tripod and a still subject. It is not a general portrait mode.

Files, tags, and proofing

I can help with practical archive structure after the photographs are made: naming conventions, contact sheets, proof exports, semantic analysis, automated tagging, and searchable descriptions for collections that need to be browsed by subject, medium, condition, or visual features.
